EZRA
It hasn’t been easy growing up as the only daughter of Dogwood Ridge’s Sheriff, a position he’s maintained with pride for most of my life. There have been many times when I wondered if his badge was more important to him than me. Except for when he wanted to parade me around as the perfect daughter, of course.
Dad is overprotective and is always worried about appearances. He’s also hated the Saint’s Outlaws Motorcycle Club since before I was born; it has nothing to do with his pledge to uphold the law. I’ve been told to stay away from the club for as long as I can remember, but it’s not easy to do. Every bit of freedom and independence I have, I’ve fought for; teaching the kids of Dogwood Ridge and taking photos keeps me sane.
I would have never guessed that my hobby would get me in trouble. When I snap a picture of something I shouldn’t see, it’s not my father who can keep me safe. Ryker is willing to stand in front of danger for me, but nothing is given for free. What happens when it’s my heart on the line instead of my life?
TITUS “RYKER”
You can take the crown that comes with being king and shove it. Give me the wind whipping past me and the roar of my bike while the sun bounces off the asphalt. That’s power; that’s what I crave. Still, I can admit the president’s patch comes with a lot of perks.
I’ve never been against taking advantage of everything that comes with my position, but I watched my dad put the club first and I make sure to do the same. The only people I answer to are my brothers, certainly not those who judge me for the leather I was born to wear. And no one judges us more than Sheriff Lyons.
If only he was able to keep Dogwood Ridge safe. His daughter, Ezra, has always been the sweetest of forbidden fruit. When she needs my protection, I quickly figure out that I would gladly lay down my loyalty to the club for her. She’s quirky, fierce, and the woman I need by my side and on the back of my bike. I won’t be letting her go once the people who are after her slink back into the shadows.
